Experience the relationship of The Farnsworth House with its natural areas and landscape on a leisurely autumn stroll through the grounds. We will discuss the history of the site, the ideas of the Lanning Roper landscape plan, and explore the tensions and dynamism between the built space and the natural space. Discover the subtle beauty of the interaction of the architecture with the river, trees, and wildflowers in Edith’s escape from the work day world.
