Since opening to the public in 2004, well over 100,000 visitors from around the world have come to experience the quiet repose and thoughtful restraint of this iconic home – which has inspired thousands of copycats and interpretations since its completion in 1951.

Our surrounding 60-acre site includes designed, conserved, and agrarian landscapes, with hiking trails, benches, and picnic tables. Annual art installations by our Creative-in-Residence, and an array of changing exhibitions in our onsite gallery, provide additional reasons to visit!

We invite you to be part of our future, by supporting our preservation and programming in 2023 – the 20th anniversary of acquiring this National Historic Landmark for public use and enjoyment. We are so grateful you are part of our community and hope you will make an end-of-year gift today!

These accomplishments were shared on our website and social media accounts with over 30,000 followers.

Landscape+Light included three dynamic installations. “Image Continuous” (Skycube Series) was inspired by one of Edith Farnsworth’s little-known poems.

Our nearly 60-acre naturalistic landscape, with trails, benches, and picnic tables, provides opportunities to relax and enjoy this riverfront setting.
